In Hatay, one of the provinces most affected by the earthquakes on February 6, members of the Başkent Motorcycle Couriers Aid and Solidarity Association, which voluntarily helped to meet the urgent needs of the citizens, came together with the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, Mansur Yavaş.

Thanking the motocourters for their work, Yavaş said, “You did things that no one thought of or thought of. You have become the hope of the earthquake victims there,” he said.

Traveling to Hatay, one of the provinces most affected by the earthquakes on 6 February, motorcouriers working with Ankara Metropolitan Municipality visited ABB President Mansur Yavaş to quickly meet the urgent needs of the earthquake victims.

ABB President Yavaş received the President of the Capital Motorcycle Couriers Aid and Solidarity Association Aydın Teke and the volunteer motorcycle couriers at the Presidency.

“YOU ARE THE HOPE OF EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS”

Yavaş thanked the motocouriers for their work in Hatay and said, “It is very valuable that you act on your own and I thank you very much on behalf of the people of Ankara.” Reminding that they were in communication with motocouriers during the pandemic period, Yavaş continued his statements and said:

“When we go to Hatay, you can't get in or out of traffic… It really brought tears to our eyes that you went there on your own, without our organization, at this time. You did things that no one thought of or thought of. You became the hope of the earthquake victims there and took their urgent needs. The people of Ankara and Turkey are grateful to you, thank you very much, I kiss you all on your eyes.”

TEKE: “YOU DID NOT LEFT US OUT THERE”

Aydın Teke, the President of the Motorcycle Couriers Aid and Solidarity Association from Başkent, said that they set out as 300 motorcouriers, and made the following statements:

“We were already in contact with you because of your help during the pandemic period. In such difficult situations, you always reach out. We thank you. You didn't leave us out there. You provided a place to stay. We thank you for providing everything from gasoline. The one who left from here did not say 'where will I sleep, where will I stay'. When they asked, we made us feel that we have Mansur Mayor of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality behind us.”
