The Presidency's Directorate of Communications launched the "Solidarity of the Century Campaign" to draw attention to the solidarity shown after the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş.

In the campaign launched with the slogan "Together we are Turkey", attention is drawn to the struggle and efforts to heal the wounds of those affected by the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, and the importance of the solidarity of the state and the nation in the face of the disaster of the century.

Within the scope of the campaign, a public service advertisement was also broadcast by the Presidency of Communications. The following statements were included in the public service ad where images of the magnitude of the earthquake, search and rescue efforts, aid activities, solidarity of the state, NGOs and volunteers were shared:

“We stood shoulder to shoulder in our most difficult day. I said there is no you, we are there. We cried together, we laughed together. We never lost our hope. We lived with our love for our country. We are a warm home that wraps around. We have written in our hearts, the moon and the star. We are centuries, millennials, tomorrows. We are Turkey.”

“We will further strengthen the spirit of solidarity”

Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, in his evaluation of the campaign, stated that the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, which directly affected 6 million people on February 14, caused great destruction and pain.

Emphasizing that from the first moment of the disaster of the century, the state and the nation acted with one heart, Altun said:

“Under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, all our institutions and organizations mobilized in the region for search and rescue and aid efforts. Our state and nation showed the solidarity of the century, which set an example to the whole world, in order to reduce the indescribable pain of our brothers in the earthquake zone, to heal their wounds and to fight the devastating results of the disaster with courage and determination. We will further strengthen this spirit of solidarity. We will work day and night with all our might in order to leave these painful days behind, to heal the wounds of Turkey, to return our citizens to their homes as soon as possible, and to rebuild and revive the region.”
