The seeds produced in Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Local Seed Production Center and sent to the seed exchange festivals held in various cities of Turkey, also meet the citizens of 12 districts outside the city center.
Seed Exchange Days, organized by the teams of the Metropolitan Municipality Parks and Gardens Department, continued with Mahmudiye after Seyitgazi and Beylikova.
Mahmudiye Mayor İshak Gündoğan, who participated in the distribution and made a speech here, said, “The support of our Metropolitan Mayor Yılmaz Büyükerşen to agriculture and production is very valuable, we thank you very much. Being national and local is done through action. Especially the local seed issue is a national issue. For this reason, I would like to thank our teacher, his valuable team and the valuable people of our district who participated in the event.” said.
After Mahmudiye, a seed exchange event was held in Sarıcakaya, Alpu and Günyüzü districts. While the citizens showed great interest in the stand set up in the district market areas, thousands of local seeds were distributed to the citizens. Citizens stated that the local seed is very important and thanked those who contributed to the study.
As part of the Seed Exchange Days, seeds will be distributed to citizens in Mihalgazi on March 9, in Çifteler on March 10, in Mihalıççık on March 11, in Han on March 16, and in district marketplaces in İnönü district on March 23.
In the city center, seed exchange events will be held at Producer Markets on 14-18-21 and 25 March, and seeds will meet with citizens.
