Medical Supplies Distributed to Disabled Earthquake Victims by Gaziantep Metropolitan

More than 500 medical supplies were distributed to disabled earthquake victims by Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality (GBB).

GBB Department of Health and Services for the Disabled Elderly meets the medical equipment needs of people with disabilities living in the surrounding provinces, especially in the city. A total of 6 items, including medical products such as wheelchairs, walking sticks and walkers, were distributed to disabled individuals who needed medical supplies for various reasons after the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, the epicenter of February 520th.

Head of GBB Health and Disabled Elderly Services Department Dr. Serdar Tolay stated that after the great disaster, many disabled individuals had a lack of medical supplies for various reasons, and said:

“With the date of February 6, our living conditions changed in an instant. Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality worked with its teams from four branches in order to quickly resolve the problems of many earthquake victims, and they continue to do so. However, in this process, the need for medical supplies of some of our disabled earthquake survivors arose. In this direction, we also distribute medical supplies to our disabled individuals in order to prevent physical problems in their daily lives, the number of materials we distribute is currently 520, of course, this number is increasing day by day.”
