The Ministry of National Education had decided that the free meal application, which is used by 1.8 million students throughout Turkey, will gradually reach 2022 million students as of the second semester of the 2023-5 academic year.
Since the start of the second term, efforts have been made all over Turkey to gradually provide a free meal to 5 million students, primarily all children attending pre-school education. In this context, our directorate completed its work for the free meal application and approximately 66 thousand pre-school students made their feeding hours with the menu prepared for them with the application initiated by the ministry.
Şanlıurfa Governor Salih Ayhan, Deputy Governor Ahmet Fatih Sungur, Haliliye District Governor Serap Özmen Çetin and Provincial Director of National Education Fevzi Kurt Haliliye served the students with their own hands during their visit to the Martyr Halil İbrahim Yıldırım Kindergarten.
After the lunch hour, Şanlıurfa Governor Salih Ayhan, who made inspections in the workshops of the pre-school students, accompanied the students in the activities, and spent a child-like day with the warm and hopeful smiles of the little ones after the earthquake.
