Education started on 1 March in Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır and Kilis. Support activities continue along with formal education in three cities. Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer stated that education activities continue at 10 points in 1.476 provinces in the earthquake zone, apart from the schools in Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır and Kilis.

In the message he shared on his social media account, Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer stated that education continues at 1.476 points in earthquake zones.

Minister Özer said in the image that there are 413 psychosocial support tents, 236 pre-school education tents, 111 primary schools, 108 secondary schools, 93 hospital classrooms, 2 prefabricated schools, 510 support and training courses opened to support students preparing for LGS and YKS. With our schools in the region, our hospital classrooms, psychosocial support tents, LGS and YKS support courses, we exist with education at 1.476 points, wherever our children are… Our children are our future.” shared with the note.

Minister Özer noted the following on the subject: “Our pre-school children in the earthquake zone; We have created educational environments according to the needs of each of our children who are studying in primary, secondary and high schools and our young people preparing for the exam. Schools were opened in Diyarbakır, Şanlıurfa and Kilis, but our support continues in places including training tents, hospital classrooms and prefabricated schools in these three cities. The number of television sets we have installed in containers and classrooms has reached 4.500 so that our children can watch cartoons and watch TRT EBA content in their environment. We transferred approximately 203 thousand students who want to continue their education in other provinces. We delivered stationery sets to our children in the earthquake area. We have reprinted and distributed textbooks and supplementary resources for our students in 10 provinces. We are always with our students with the approach of 'continue education under all conditions'.”
