Ortahisar Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç examined the Boztepe Walking Platform and Observation Terrace Project, which is a candidate to be one of the most attractive spots in the new tourism season.

One of the most striking units of the project, which consists of promenade, walking, watching, eating and drinking units, is two terraces with glass and wooden surface coating.

The project, which was implemented without damaging the natural vegetation of Boztepe, which is the most spectacle point of the city and reveals all the beauties of Trabzon, is eye-catching in every sense.

The project, which will have a total length of approximately 1 km with the completion of its second phase, has been implemented on a surface area of 5000 m². The approximately 1 km long observation terrace and promenade starting from the Kizlar Monastery and extending to the east; It was built as a multifunctional project that includes walking, watching, photographing, sitting and resting units.

“TERRACES ARE A PERFECT VIEWING AREA”

Continuing his explanations about the project, Mayor Genç stated that the walking platform was built with a width of 3 meters and 2 city balconies were built with a width of 20 meters. Stating that two wooden city balconies were built in the place with the most beautiful view within the project, Genç said, “We built our project on steel legs at a height of at least 20-30 cm from the ground, with a minimum of excavation and filling on the natural surface. The width of our walking platform is 3 meters, and the width of the viewing balconies is 20 meters. Again, within our project, we built 2 cafeterias, and two terraces, one of which will be glass and the other will be wooden. We also have 2 wooden city balconies in places with the most beautiful viewing area. There are camellias, swings, wooden-tiled seating areas and green areas surrounding them on our balconies. Except for the glass terraces, we built all surfaces as wooden cladding. They became a very perfect viewing area.” he said.

“UNIQUE NATURAL BEAUTY”

Noting that the project environment has a very beautiful and green appearance with the onset of spring, Mayor Genç said, “We have implemented a project that is almost integrated with nature here. There are cherry, sour cherry, plum, apple, pear, fig and walnut trees planted by the citizens around the walking platform. Our Boztepe looks like a mini botanical park with its fruit trees and natural vegetation. As seen in the spring months, this image becomes even more evident. With the completion of our project, our fellow citizens will see these fragrant beauties, vegetation and trees closely.” said.

I really think our beautiful Boztepe is worthy of such a project. Our project, which makes Boztepe more attractive, will add a new excitement, a new taste and a new spirit to our city.”

President Genç announced that the project will be opened to the public with all its units on April 15.
