Signaling System Suitable for Disabled Access is Established at Pedestrian Crossings in Edirne

Edirne Municipality Transportation Directorate has accelerated the signaling works for pedestrian crossings. Edirne Municipality Directorate of Transportation has started signaling work to ensure the safety of life and property of pedestrians and drivers in the city center and to reduce waiting times at intersections.

Within the scope of the works, a buttoned signaling system was installed in front of Atatürk Boulevard Thrace Agricultural Research Institute, suitable for the access of our disabled citizens. The new generation touch button and pedestrian warning system will regulate the traffic in a way that allows pedestrians to cross the street safely. In addition, the system with Braille Alphabet will give an audible warning so that our disabled citizens can use the pedestrian crossing safely.

Within the scope of the work started, the maintenance of the pedestrian crossing lines in the city continues.
