Izmir Metropolitan Municipality will celebrate the 59th Library Week with activities to be organized between March 27 and April 2 with the theme of “Republican Achievements and Librarianship”.
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is preparing to celebrate the 59th Library Week with various activities to be held between 27 March and 2 April. Celebration events organized by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality City Archive, Museums and Libraries Branch Office will focus on Kemalpaşa, Aliağa, Bergama and Konak districts. Among the activities that aim to remind once again the achievements of our Republic and strengthen the bond between children, libraries and books; There will be children's workshops, children's games, talks, autograph sessions, fairy tale concerts, ventriloquist shows, and PechaKucha events.
There are events in 4 districts
- Events that will start at 15.00; It will be in Kemalpaşa (Çambel TOKİ) on March 28. Interview and autograph session with Ayfer Demirtaş and children's workshops will be organized. Children's play Shepherd and Ulu will be shown.
- On March 29, there will be children's workshops and an interview with Gülay Pamuk in Aliağa (Siteler Mahallesi Grass Field). Children's play Blue Dreamland will meet with the audience.
- On March 30, children's workshops will be held in Bergama (Fatih Primary School). Nazlı Solgun will meet with her readers on the day of autograph and interview. The children's play Magic Kitchen will be released.
- On March 31, at 17.00, there will be an interview with İnanç Avadit and Enes Kurdaş on “Social Realism and Event in Poor BAYKURT Literature” at the Historical Coal Gas Factory Research Library.
- On April 1, at 17.00, at the Historical Coal Gas Factory Research Library, DEU Faculty of Letters lecturer Prof. Dr. Nevzat KAYA will have a talk titled “The Evolution of Cultural Transfer: From Mythos to the Digital Library”.
- On April 2, at 17.00, there will be a PechaKucha event at the Historical Coal Gas Factory Research Library. Emel Zorluer from Goethe Institute, Hatice Gümüş from Karabağlar Municipality, Karşıyaka Sümeyye Hazal Taş from the Municipality of İzmir, Yeliz Çam Tatlıbadem from the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, Setenay Zehra Demir, Adalet Okhan, Kübra Tarhan from the İzmir Katip Çelebi University, Sarah Vural from the İzmir Atatürk Provincial Public Library, Karşıyaka Asuman Nesibe Özdil from Hoca Mithat District Public Library will make a presentation on activities and new ideas in libraries.
