Hülya-Özdemir Speech International İzmir Theater Festival, organized by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality for the 41st time, starts on March 27, World Theater Day. Within the scope of the festival, which will last until April 10, 21 adult plays, 4 village theater performances, 6 children's plays and 2 international performances will be staged.

The International İzmir Theater Festival (2022st International İzmir Theater Days), organized by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality in 41 under the name of “Hülya-Özdemir Speech”, will be held between March 27 and April 10. Within the scope of the festival, which will bring many plays to the audience, 21 adult plays, 4 village theater performances, 6 children's plays and 2 international performances will be presented to art lovers.

Opening game from Italy

The festival will open at 27 at Kültürpark İzmir Art Center with the play “Alice” to be staged by the Italian team Officina Per La Scena on March 20.30, World Theater Day. Another international play in the program, “Puntila and Matti” by the IACT Hamburg Mut team, will meet with the people of İzmir again on Wednesday, April 5, at 20.30 at Kültürpark İzmir Art Center.

It will be premiered at the festival

The festival will also host a premiere this year. Theater Mahal, one of the teams of İzmir that draws attention with its original content, is preparing to appear before the audience at the festival with its play "Navy Blue Night".

The closing show of the festival is “A Multicultural Country; “Peace” will be exhibited on Monday, April 10 at 20.30 in the open area of ​​Kültürpark. This unique performance, which emphasizes how beautiful it is to live together, offers the visuality of a human circus with dances and jugglers, can be watched free of charge.
