The “Move to the Future” workshops within the scope of the Izmir Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP Izmir) carried out by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality with the European Union (EU) are starting.
The first stakeholder participation workshop, which will be organized to create a sustainable transportation system in the city, will be held at the IzQ Innovation Center on Tuesday, February 7th. In the workshop, where nearly 300 institutions were invited, the stakeholders will analyze the current mobility situation in İzmir. It is aimed to involve the stakeholders and the public in the Izmir Common Transportation Vision process by holding three stakeholder participation workshops and two citizen information meetings in total. Following the meetings that will continue next year, the Izmir Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan will be announced at the closing event in July 2024.
The support project, known by the abbreviation SUMP Izmir, aims to contribute to the livability and sustainability of the city through safer, cleaner, accessible and cheap mobility.
