IMM mobilized all its possibilities after the great earthquake. All managers of IMM are at AKOM IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu He gathered under his chairmanship and started preparations without wasting time. Action was taken immediately. A total of 5 IMM personnel from 838 different units were transferred to the region with 275 vehicles and equipment. Search and rescue team of 407 people, cranes, backhoe work machines, excavators were put on the road. Construction machinery repaired the roads damaged by the earthquake and opened the roads that were closed due to adverse weather conditions. 'İBB Management Center' and internet connection points were established in Hatay. The food truck for 6 thousand people, which has turned into a dormitory, and the mobile buffet that can produce 15 thousand breads, moved to the region. Bread donations made by the people of Istanbul to Halk Ekmek also set out to be delivered to the earthquake zone.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) went on alert to deliver aid to the region, which was shaken by the earthquake disaster. IMM teams, acting under the coordination of AFAD, mobilized to deliver aid to the earthquake region, especially Hatay.
Working Groups were established for those affected by the disaster to evaluate all the capabilities of IMM subsidiaries and affiliates according to the needs of the region. A road map for aid was determined by holding meetings with district municipalities in Istanbul in AKOM affiliated to IMM. All the facilities of Istanbul have been activated for the earthquake zone.
8 PEOPLE SURVIVED FROM THE WRUSH
With a total of 25 units, 838 personnel, 275 vehicles and equipment, IMM mobilized for disaster relief and immediately started search and rescue activities. The Istanbul Fire Brigade rescue team, which was among the first search and rescue teams to reach Hatay, started to work without delay. IMM teams have saved 8 people from the rubble so far. Three-year-old baby Umay and Bade, who were pulled out of the wreckage in the morning, were among them.
In the first stage, IMM set out 311 search and rescue teams of the Istanbul Fire Department, and sent a total of 407 search and rescue personnel and 25 vehicles to the disaster spot. The first Search and Rescue team of 100 people reached Hatay in the afternoon of the first day. The dispatched IMM teams were transferred to the Hatay crisis desk. The second group reached Hatay via Gaziantep, the third and fourth groups started their search and rescue activities through Adana.
BASE IS ESTABLISHED
IMM is establishing an IMM Management Center in Hatay to provide hot food and beverages to those in the earthquake zone and to ensure coordination. In order to create a tent city, personnel, vehicles and materials are delivered to the region. 362 personnel, 209 heavy equipment and vehicles moved to the region for the establishment of the center. Among those shipped, there are 46 heavy-duty machines, 25 backhoe loaders and 5 cranes. In addition to a food truck with a daily capacity of 6, a mobile oven with a daily capacity of 15 thousand breads, and a dormitory truck for 60 people, a 15-day dry food and material truck belonging to the vehicles was sent to the region. 200 thousand packaged bread and 200 thousand golden buns belonging to Istanbul Halk Ekmek are also sent to Hatay. A total of 4 trucks of bread, including bread donations made by Istanbul residents, will reach the disaster area.
10 more trucks loaded with water, packed bread, blankets, small generators and other aids were sent to Hatay. 53 field generators and lighting apparatuses of various powers were put on the road. Internet connection points were set up to prevent interruptions in the GSM infrastructure and the smooth progress of the operation in the earthquake zone.
DISTRICT MUNICIPALITIES 8 TRAILER MATERIAL

In the first stage, 8 trucks with blankets, winter clothes, heaters, generators and hygiene materials set off. In addition, 3 buses, 4 excavators, 3 ambulances, 8 rescue vehicles, a search and rescue team with 4 dogs and an aid team of 300 people, consisting of medical personnel, also moved to the region.
85 thousand materials were donated
IMM has launched a 'Disaster Aid Campaign' to be delivered to the disaster victims in the earthquake region. Aids are collected at Yenikapı Eurasia Exhibition Center and Kartal Logistics Centers. Aid collection activities continue with 104 personnel in 208 shifts and 3 vehicles in 97 centers. Istanbulites who want to donate can bring their donations to both centers. Second-hand products will not be accepted in aid materials, only unused materials will be evaluated.
Of the donated materials, 10 thousand blankets and 16 thousand 20 aid materials such as baby diapers, clothing, blankets and quilts were brought to the road with 2 trucks. 6 trucks are under preparation. 85 items (blankets, diapers, baby clothing, children's clothing, socks, food, clothing, towels, heaters, wet wipes, toy pillows, baby table) were received as donations.
TRAILERS ARE IN THE REGION
While the entire IMM was mobilized with the established working group, the lists of needs were determined and emergency heavy-duty machines were first dispatched to the region. Equipment and personnel are added to go to the zones every hour.
