Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) President Ekrem İmamoğluvisited the Provincial Disaster and Emergency Directorate (AFAD) building in Hatay, which experienced the earthquake disaster. Meeting with the Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca at the AFAD building in Antakya, which was damaged in the earthquake, İmamoğlu conveyed the problems and demands from the suffering citizens. Transferring from Antakya to Kırıkhan, İmamoğlu conveyed his condolences to Mayor Ayhan Yavuz and the earthquake victims in the logistics center and shelter area created for the earthquake and wished them well soon. İmamoğlu, who passed from Kırıkhan to İskenderun, made inspections at the İBB Logistics Center, which was established on an area dominating the district, allocated by a helpful business owner. İmamoğlu, who received information about the center and the works from İBB Deputy Secretary Generals Gürkan Alpay and Murat Yazıcı, also visited the tent city established by Beylikdüzü Municipality in İskenderun, which houses many services from the library to the children's playground.

City Lines General Manager Sinem Dedetaş, who gave information to İmamoğlu about both ships, said that they were planning the ships transferred to İBB by İDO as a living space for Hatay, remaining idle.

PREPARED IN 250 HOURS WITH A TEAM OF 24 PEOPLE

Stating that the Orhangazi ferry is planned for the living space and Osmangazi is planned for transfer, Dedetaş said, “We will especially carry out health, rehabilitation and nursery services with our professional staff. Our citizens living outside in Samandağ and Antakya will be hosted on our ship. As long as they want to stay, their life inside the Orhangazi ship will continue. If they want to be transferred, we will make port plans with the Osmangazi ship. We prepared the ships in 250 hours with a team of 24 people. A total of 109 people will serve with cleaning, security, kitchen, health services and the ship's own personnel. According to the information given by Dedetaş; Orhangazi will be able to serve 3 meals a day for 200 people on board. On board; kitchen, showers and toilets, infirmary and psychological counseling rooms, a tanker of fuel. Playgrounds were also created for the children affected by the earthquake disaster in the ship. A total of 109 personnel, including the crew, health personnel, psychologist, driver, kitchen personnel, security personnel and kindergarten teacher, will support the disaster victims.
