All dormitories of the Ministry of Youth and Sports across the country have been opened to the service of earthquake victims with a capacity of 850 thousand. The earthquake victims hosted in the dormitories will be able to meet their basic needs such as accommodation, food and drink in the dormitories in 81 provinces.
All dormitories belonging to the Ministry of Youth and Sports were allocated to earthquake victims in order to solve the housing problem that occurred after the earthquake that occurred in Pazarcık and Elbistan districts of Kahramanmaraş and caused destruction in 10 provinces.
Our citizens affected by the earthquake with a capacity of 81 thousand will be hosted in 800 dormitories in our 850 provinces, which were vacated with the holiday of universities until the end of summer. In this process, all basic needs will be met 7/24, including hot meals, beverages and social activities.
In line with the available possibilities, all means will be mobilized for the transfer of earthquake victims staying in tent cities to dormitories.
Warning to students staying in dormitories
The necessary time and conditions will be provided for the students staying in the existing dormitories to take their belongings from the dormitories. Coordination with students will be carried out by the relevant dormitory directorates.
