Eren Taşkın, an infantryman from Izmir, who was killed in an earthquake in Hatay, where he served as his homeland, was sent off on his last journey.

Karşıyaka A ceremony was held at Beşikçioğlu Mosque. The ceremony was attended by the martyr's mother Dursune Taşkın and his sister Ece Taşkın, as well as İzmir Governor Yavuz Selim Köşger, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Mustafa Özuslu, CHP İzmir Deputy Kamil Okyay Sındır, Aegean Army Commander Lieutenant General Kemal Yeni, İzmir Provincial Police Chief Mehmet Şahne. Party representatives, citizens and relatives of the martyr attended. Eren Taşkın was buried in the Kadifekale Martyrs' Cemetery.
