DS Automobiles is exhibiting four models under the title of “Performance” at Rétromobile 2023 held in Paris. At the L'Aventure DS booth, the DS E-TENSE PERFORMANCE and DS 9 E-TENSE 4×4 360 models join the SM PROTOTYPE (1973) and DS 21 INJECTION ELECTRONIQUE (1970). Exclusive clubs for the old models of the brand will be with DS Automobiles in this unmissable meeting.

DS Automobiles is presenting four models for Rétromobile 2023, two hi-tech labs and two production models, all representing performance in its stand themed “Performance”. As part of the close ties that have been established since the launch of DS Automobiles, Rétromobile will also have four clubs dedicated to the DS and SM models alongside the brand throughout 2023. These; Euro SM Club, DS-ID Club of France, ParIDS and The Federation of DS Clubs will add value to the event as private initiatives.

1973 SM PROTOTYPE: A driving test lab, this prototype was designed to test the effect of increased acceleration on traction and directional stability at high speed. SM PROTOYPE provided the adjustment of equipment or adjustments such as weight distribution, suspension stiffness or yaw speed while driving, via controls and measuring devices. This 340 horsepower prototype was used to develop race cars based on the SM.

2022 DS E-TENSE PERFORMANCE: Developed as a high-performance laboratory, DS E-TENSE PERFORMANCE was designed by DS PERFORMANCE, who won two Drivers' and two Team Championships in the Formula E Championship. The DS E-TENSE PERFORMANCE has already covered more than 3.000 kilometers in its first test series. It can reach 0-100 km / h acceleration in 2.0 seconds. driveline; It consists of two electric motors producing 600 kW (250 kW at the front, 350 kW at the rear) combined power (815 horsepower) for both acceleration and recovery and delivering 8.000 Nm of torque at the wheels. Derived directly from DS PERFORMANCE Formula E developments, these two electric motors deliver remarkable performance.

1970 DS 21 PALLAS INJECTION ÉLECTRONIQUE: The cornerstone of a century of automobile use, the DS has become legendary since its first appearance in Paris in 1955. With its revolutionary design, it presented for the first time many technologies such as hydropneumatic suspension, power steering, hydraulically controlled gearbox, brake system supported by discs at the front, and pivoting steering wheel, among other features. First introduced with a 75 horsepower engine, the DS never ceased to be more and more efficient. In September 1969, it became the first mass-produced French car to offer electronic injection, with a 185 cc engine reaching 2.175 horsepower for a top speed of over 139 km/h.

Converted in France by the DS PERFORMANCE team, the DS 9 E-TENSE 4×4 360 represents the best of DS Automobiles technology. Combined with two electric motors of 81 kW (110 hp) at the front and 83 kW (113 hp) at the rear, the 200-horsepower PureTech petrol engine and special tunings, the DS 9 E-TENSE 4×4 360 offers superior performance. While 0-100 km/h acceleration is completed in 5.6 seconds, it can reach 25 meters in 1.000 seconds.
