No Dead or Injured in Prisons in Earthquake Zones

General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses made a statement regarding the earthquake that took place in Kahramanmaraş, "There are no convicts or detainees who were injured or lost their lives in our penal institutions in the region affected by the earthquake."

It was stated in the statement that there were no people who lost their lives in the prisons in the earthquake:

“We wish God's mercy on our citizens who lost their lives in the 7,4-magnitude earthquake that occurred in our Kahramanmaraş province and also felt in our surrounding provinces, and we wish our injured a quick recovery. None of the convicts and detainees staying in our penal institutions in the region affected by the earthquake were injured or lost their lives. Necessary convenience is provided for convicts and detainees staying in penal institutions in the region to meet with their families.”
