President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan called the family of AK Party Adıyaman Deputy Yakup Taş, who lost his life in the wreckage of the earthquake in Adıyaman, and conveyed his condolences.

President Erdoğan made a phone call to the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, who was at the Adıyaman Disaster Coordination Center (Adıyaman Governorate) to support the search and rescue efforts after the earthquake in the province. President Erdoğan spoke with Ahmet Taş, the elder brother of AK Party Adıyaman Deputy Taş, who lost his life in the earthquake through Karaismailoğlu.

Expressing his condolences to the Taş family, President Erdoğan said, “May God give you patience. My Lord, I hope he will include our brother Yakup in the class of martyrs. Of course, the lady drank this sherbet of martyrdom in the same way. I send my most heartfelt greetings and love to the entire Taş family. I will travel around the region, I hope I will also stop by Adıyaman. May my Lord be our guide and helper.” he said.

Stating that he will visit the region, President Erdoğan said, “I send my greetings and love to the whole family and to all my brothers and sisters who will attend the funeral prayer. God rest the soul. We will send our Fatiha from Ankara inshallah." said.

In the meantime, Yakup Taş, who was caught in a 10-storey apartment in Adıyaman in the earthquake, the epicenter of which was in Kahramanmaraş and affecting 9 provinces, and lost his life by being under the rubble with his family as a result of the complete collapse of the building, was bid farewell to his last journey.

During the funeral prayer for the stone, his relatives, many citizens and the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Karaismailoğlu, took sides.
