The first batch of 400 hp TTZA engine, developed by BMC Power and to be used in Vuran armored vehicles, will be delivered and launched with a ceremony to be held tomorrow. Along with the launch, the name of the 400 hp engine will also be announced at the ceremony. One of the in-line military engines of BMC Power, the in-line four-cylinder TTZA engine that produces 400 horsepower has completed the 143 thousand km road test.
There will be 20 engines in the first batch. The mentioned engines will be used in Vuran TTZAs. The first engines will be used in Land Forces Command vehicles. Then, the domestic engine will also take place in the vehicles of the Gendarmerie General Command. The 400 hp engine will also be integrated into Kirpi vehicles in the future.
In 2023, it is aimed to implement the engine application in Kirpi I/II vehicles. The TTZA engine is an inline four-cylinder 4-liter engine designed for use in 4×8,4 MRAP and TTZA vehicles. The engine, which is turbocharged and produces 400 horsepower, is produced with a locality rate of more than 75%. BMC Power has a production capacity of 1.000 motors per year. The company has the ability to produce approximately 800 cylinders and 200 v motors per year.
BMC Power's TTZA and Azra engines had completed road tests
BMC Power's in-line military engines had completed road tests of 45 thousand and 80 thousand km. The in-line four-cylinder TTZA engine producing 400 horsepower completed the 80 thousand km road test, while the in-line six-cylinder Azra engine producing 600 horsepower completed the 45 thousand km road test.
In this context, it was stated that other tests of the engines were continuing. In addition, it was stated that the qualification and calibration tests of the 1000 and 1500 hp engines were continuing. It was stated that the road tests of the mentioned engines will start soon.
