The Qatari Government has announced two important announcements for those who will travel to the country. The Ministry of Interior announced that the Hayya Card application, which is used within the scope of Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022, has been extended until January 24, 2024.

Those who receive the Hayya Card for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 ™ will now be able to use the free multiple entry permit and e-gate system to Qatar, provided that they fulfill the following conditions;

  • Proof of hotel reservation or accommodation with family or friends confirmed through the Hayya Portal
  • Having a valid 3-month passport from arrival in Qatar,
  • Health insurance from health institutions approved by the Ministry of Health of Qatar and covering the travel period,

International fans with Hayya Card can invite up to three family members or friends to visit Qatar thanks to the “Hayya With Me” feature.

Another important statement was made by the Ministry of Health. As of February 1, 2023, health insurance has been made mandatory for entering the country. Compulsory health insurance, valid for 30 days, is provided by insurance companies determined by the Ministry of Health in exchange for 50 Qatari Riyals.
