Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality is working hard to heal the wounds of the earthquake, the epicenter of which is Kahramanmaraş and which caused serious destruction in many provinces. The Metropolitan, which mobilizes all its possibilities both in the earthquake region and in meeting the needs of the earthquake victims who come to our city, provides a serious convenience in the 'Guest Card' application it offers to the disaster victims in this context.
VALID UNTIL THE END OF THE YEAR
All citizens on the AFAD earthquake victim list started to receive their guest cards from the Izmit, Gebze and Gölcük Travel Cards offices, which they can use free of charge until the end of the year. The teams of the Transportation Department also give their guest cards to the earthquake victims hosted at Darıca Balyanoz Training Facilities and Diriliş 3 Hüma Hatun Youth Camp. Earthquake survivors can get their guest cards, which they can use free of charge from all public transportation vehicles belonging to the municipality, such as private public buses, trams, and ferries until the end of the year, by giving a copy of their identity card and a passport photo to the relevant officer.
MOBILE TRAVEL CARD TOOLS
Disaster survivors who come to Kocaeli can come to the designated centers and get their guest cards easily and quickly. The earthquake victims who come to the designated center must have their IDs and a passport photo with them. For earthquake victims who do not have a photograph, their photos are taken with a web camera and they are processed accordingly. In the future, mobile travel card tools will serve to provide guest cards to earthquake victims at important points to be determined throughout the province.
TOTALLY FREE CARD OVER 65
Metropolitan, which gives free guest cards to earthquake-affected citizens until the end of the year in public transportation, grants completely free travel cards to earthquake-affected citizens aged 65 and over. Cards aged 65 and over are also given to earthquake victims in the camps and facilities of the Metropolitan. Likewise, citizens aged 65 and over can get free travel cards from the Gebze and Gölcük Travel Cards office.
