Natural Gas Flow to Earthquake Zones Has Been Stopped

BOTAŞ announced that natural gas flow to Gaziantep, Hatay and Kahramanmaraş provinces as well as Pazarcık, Narlı, Besni, Gölbaşı, Nurdağı, Islahiye, Reyhanlı, Kırıkhan and Hassa districts was stopped as a result of the damage in the Kahramanmaraş-Gaziantep natural gas transmission line.

The written statement from BOTAŞ is as follows: “After the controls carried out by the BOTAŞ teams in the field, the points where damage occurred and their areas of influence were determined as follows; As a result of the damage in the Kahramanmaraş-Gaziantep natural gas transmission line, natural gas flow to Gaziantep, Hatay and Kahramanmaraş provinces and to Pazarcık, Narlı, Besni, Gölbaşı, Nurdağı, Islahiye, Reyhanlı, Kırıkhan and Hassa districts was stopped. However, Kilis natural gas line has been affected, but it continues to be fed from the gas inside the line. By establishing the necessary coordination with the natural gas distribution companies in the region, gas supply will continue to be provided by supplying CNG and LNG to critical facilities such as hospitals, furnaces, etc.”
