Children of the Capital Have Fun at the 'Semester Children's Festival'

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality organized the "Semester Children's Festival" for the little ones in the Capital, where many events took place, from puppet shows to workshops, from concerts to theater, from karate and step shows to middle plays. Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, which has implemented many child-friendly projects in the capital, also spent overtime during the semester break for children to have fun.

The Department of Culture and Social Affairs and the Department of Women and Family Services hosted the “Semester Child Festival” for the little ones in the Capital. The festival held at ANFA Altınpark Fair and Congress Center started with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem.

Making the opening speech of the event, ABB Children's Assembly President Term Esma Saraç said, "To our dear Mayor Mansur Yavaş, who is highly respected by the people of Ankara and Turkish citizens with his child-friendly practices and projects, for the priority he gives to us children, for his fair and loving approach. Thank you once again,” he said.

Starting his speech by thanking the children who participated in the festival in the snowy weather, Head of Women and Family Services Department Dr. Serkan Yorgancılar said, “We have prepared surprises for you to have a lot of fun and enjoy. Have fun to the fullest. You are our future. At this age, be intertwined with art and culture”, while Head of Culture and Social Affairs Department Ali Bozkurt said, “I believe you will have a pleasant and enjoyable time. We have organized many activities for you to start your second term more vigorously and energetically. I wish you all a good time," he said.

BelPa Chairman of the Board Ferhan Özkara said about the festival, “As Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, we stand by our children, who take firm steps towards becoming a free World citizen with their foreheads open and their heads up high”.

BOTH CHILDREN AND FAMILIES ENJOYED MOMENTS

In the festival, where children from all age groups showed great interest; Robotic coding, origami, pencil ornament making, marbling, chocolate basket making, car racing, key chain making, mask pattern painting, face painting, cartoon work, printing and mind games workshops were established. In the festival where many children's theaters were exhibited, karate, teakwondo and step shows were also performed.

The children, who had a pleasant time with the performances of the Kent Orchestra and Janissary Band, had nostalgic moments with their middle plays. Both children and their families had an unforgettable time with puppet games at the festival, where popcorn and cotton candy were served.

FESTIVAL GOT FULL NOTES FROM THE CHILDREN

The children, who participated in the festival and learned while having fun, expressed their happiness with the following words:

Elvin Deniz Usluer: “I did the art of marbling here, decorated pencils, made baskets. It goes very well.”

Bugra Bektas: “I'm really having fun here. I am very excited."

İkra Tepehan: “My school is on holiday, I came here. I'm playing mind games here. This place is so good, so much fun…”

Esra Sude Product: “I play games with my friends. This place is so fun…”

Irmak Salman: “I've been here before. I came with my friend and her mother. I am having so much fun here. We both have fun and learn a lot.”

Mina Grass: “I painted, made key chains, made chocolate baskets, and raced cars. We do both instructive and educational things.”

Yasar Sahin: “This place is beautiful. I came for the first time. There are both technological things and art. We thank you."

Ahmet Talha Yuksel: “We came here because of our teacher. There are many great events. If I hadn't come here, I would be sitting at home. I'm bored at home too, so I'm very happy to be here.”
