The volume of cargo sent by China-Europe freight train services in January reached 13 thousand TEU with an increase of 147 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.

According to the information obtained from China Railway, the number of China-Europe freight train services in January increased by 6 percent on an annual basis and reached 410. In the same period, the volume of cargo sent increased by 13 percent year on year to 147 thousand TEU.

Since the beginning of the year, transport capacity has been increased in the Chinese part of the China-Europe freight train project. The transport capacity of a single train increased by 8 percent on average. In addition, customs clearance efficiency at border gates was increased.

The stable operation of the China-Europe freight train service provided great assurance to the security of the international supply chain and the market supply in the Spring Festival.
