The aid campaign initiated by the Keçiören Municipality for the earthquake victims turned into a mobilization. Keçiören Municipality delivered 45 trucks of aid with various living materials to the earthquake area. Keçiören Mayor Turgut Altınok noted that the aid continues to increase, and that the construction equipment sent by the Keçiören Municipality continues its search and rescue efforts feverishly.
"HELP REACHED"
President Altınok said the following regarding the support to earthquake zones:
“We have created aid collection points in 10 centers in our district. We sent our 35 aid trucks. We delivered our aid trucks to earthquake victims in coordination with AFAD. We express our thanks to our citizens by sharing the photos of our aid distribution to our citizens on our social media accounts. Keçiören is mobilized. We receive aid from addresses, and our citizens bring their own to 10 aid collection points in our district. Our municipal employees, volunteer citizens and young people sort the aids and load them onto the trucks. Apart from that, we sent funeral vehicles, construction equipment, soup vehicles, generators and our operators with backup for them. Unfortunately, when we were informed that he needed a shroud, we took the necessary steps and sent a shroud. Now we have prepared our shrouds and tents, and we are sending them again.”
“WE WELCOME EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS”
Stating that they opened their doors to the citizens who came to Ankara from the earthquake zone, Altınok said, “We started to host our souls who wanted to come to Ankara from the earthquake zone in our social facilities. We weep for our earthquake victims in our Keçiören Osman Gazi Social Life Center Patient and Relatives Guest House. On the other hand, our citizens who have vacant houses in Ankara and Keçiören are also mobilized to allocate their houses to these citizens free of charge. I would like to thank everyone who is together with the spirit of the National Struggle.” he said.

In the aid trucks sent by Keçiören Municipality, there are various living materials such as water, heater, blankets, food materials, coats, shoes, diapers, quilts, mattresses, hygiene materials, dry food and pillows.
