Derya Yanık, Minister of Family and Social Services, said, “At the end of February, with the presence of our President, we will place 2.323 disabled individuals as civil servants. Thus, we will increase the number of disabled civil servants working in the public sector to 67.985.” said

Derya Yanık, Minister of Family and Social Services, emphasized that they care about not only meeting the needs of disabled people but also their participation in working life and said, “One of the important elements of the disabled people's participation in life is their direct participation in production. Removing the obstacles to their existence in all areas of life also means strengthening the employment network. As the Ministry, we carry out studies that will increase the employment opportunities of our disabled people with the understanding that every individual can participate in working life.” said.

Minister Yanık stated that as of November 30, 2022, 2.323 positions were requested by public institutions for the placement to be made at the end of February, and that the candidates completed their preferences on January 13, 2023, according to the Preference Guide published by ÖSYM.

Reminding that the number of disabled people working in the public sector was 2002 in 5.777, it increased 20 times to 12 with the number of disabled civil servants appointed in the last 65.662 years, Yanik said:

“At the end of February 2023, with the presence of our President, we will place 2.323 disabled individuals as civil servants. Thus, we will have increased the number of disabled civil servants working in the public sector to 67.985. Our aim is to improve employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for our disabled people and to enable them to participate in social life, daily life, employment life directly and as equally as other citizens without disabilities.”

“We continue to meet the EKPSS fee of our disabled citizens”

Reminding that the Disabled Public Personnel Selection Examination (EKPSS) application for the employment of disabled civil servants in the public sector started in 2012, Minister Yanık stated that as a ministry, they continue to meet the EKPSS fee of disabled citizens. Minister Yanık stated that the exam fee of 2022 TL from the Ministry's budget for 11.832.875 EKPSS was transferred to the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center Presidency (ÖSYM).
