The Gendarmerie General Command reported that a total of 16 personnel were deployed in the earthquake zones.
The statement from the Gendarmerie General Command is as follows:
“We are strong together. As the Gendarmerie General Command, we are at the service of our nation with our units assigned to 10 earthquake zones and reserve points. Gendarmerie units assigned by the Gendarmerie General Command in the earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmaraş on 06.02.2023; 3 commando brigades, 17 commando battalions, 27 Asayish commando companies, 104 public order teams, 388 security guards, 14 JAK teams, 14 JÖAK/JAK teams, 35 search and rescue dog elements, 208 female non-commissioned officers, a total of 16 thousand 421 personnel.
20 S-70 helicopters, 14 M-17 helicopters, 2 mobile kitchens, 1 command and control vehicle with a living area, 2 mobile operations centers, 102 traffic teams, 1 mobile oven, 30 unimog trucks, 679 security vehicles.”
