Young Ambassadors Produce Projects for the Future of Izmir

The third stage trainings of the Izmir Sustainability Envoys Training Program, prepared under the leadership of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, have started. Young ambassadors who will produce projects for the future of İzmir will also find internship opportunities within the framework of the study.

The third stage trainings of the Izmir Sustainability Envoys Training Program, which was implemented within the framework of the cooperation with the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, have started. İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Advisor and İZDOĞA A.Ş. Güven Eken, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Sibel Zorlu, President of the Aegean Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association, Lütfi Ünal, Head of Strategy Development Department of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, and Mehmet Yavuz, Secretary General of Izmir Development Agency.

Internship opportunity

Organized in cooperation with İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, Delegation of the European Union to Turkey, ESİAD İzmir EU Information Center, İzmir Planning Agency, İzmir Development Agency, İzmir Sustainable Urban Development Network and SÜGEP Academy, with the need to build sustainable development societies by thinking about İzmir and future generations. In the third phase of the Sustainability Ambassadors Training Programs, young ambassadors will also find internship opportunities.

Internship will last one month

Within the scope of the European Green Agreement, sustainability studies will be carried out in Izmir Metropolitan Municipality companies, private sector and district municipalities, and the internship program will last for 1 month, where they will build reporting and transformation processes.

Demo Day event on January 27

Project presentations of young sustainability ambassadors participating in the program, suggesting solutions to local problems in the context of global goals, and the Demo Day event will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 at the Historical Havagazı Cultural Center.
