The knot is untied at Akpınar Junction on Yenişehir Street in İnegöl, which has been on the agenda many times before. İnegöl Municipality started an arrangement work at the junction with the support of the Metropolitan Municipality. Here, it was announced that the roundabout in the middle would be removed and a signaling system would be installed. Mayor Alper Taban, together with the delegation accompanying him, made investigations in the area and gave information about the work.
Making a statement about the study, Chairman Taban said, “We are now at the Akpınar junction on Yenişehir Street. This is a crossroads that has been covered in the press many times before. We have stated that we want to make a junction arrangement here. However, we can express this as a center that requires permission from the highways and where BOTAŞ pipelines pass. It was obvious that some permits had to be obtained here and that the arrangements had to be made after that. Of course, we will be completing the signaling part of the work by getting the support of our Metropolitan Municipality in this area.”
TARGET TO COMPLETE IN 1 MONTHS
Stating that the Directorate of Science Affairs has completed their preparations for the road networks for about a week, Mayor Taban said, “We have now started work on an excavator, 4 trucks, 1 grader and 1 digger here. We hope to complete our work at the intersection with a budget of approximately 2 million TL. We have a leave of about 1 month from UKOME. During this time, we hope to complete our work here by ensuring the regular flow of road traffic here," he said.
Continuing his speech with the words “We know that there is serious traffic on this street”, Mayor Taban said, “With the signalization application, I hope we will have a structure where there are no accidents and we can move forward in traffic in a healthier way. We carry out the work with the help of our Directorate of Science Affairs, but of course, the intersection will be completed with the support of our Metropolitan Municipality. After our friends physically carry out excavation and arrangement works in the area, the signaling teams of our Metropolitan Municipality will also carry out detailed studies on traffic lights. I would also like to thank our esteemed Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality. Hopefully, we want to complete the accident-free work as soon as possible”.
