Find My Kids, with its new application installed on Apple Watch devices used by children, offers a child safety and GPS tracking application that can work independently even if the watch is not connected to the child's phone. It's also the first time an Apple Watch device can share its location with phones outside of the Apple ecosystem.
Using the app, parents can see their child's location in real time, as well as review up to 30 days of detailed location history. Children just need to tap the SOS button on their Apple Watch to instantly notify their parents in case of an emergency. In this case, even in silent mode, a loud alarm signal will sound on the parents' phones and parents can check the app to see their child's status.
In addition to its safety features, the Find My Kids Apple Watch app also includes a built-in gamified pedometer. In this way, parents can also ensure that their children meet their daily mobility needs in a fun way.
