The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure announced that the “Kars-Erzurum Touristic Express” to be launched between Kars-Erzurum will make its first flight tomorrow.
In the written statement made by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, it was noted that there was a high demand for the Touristic East Express, and as a result, new expeditions were made.
In the statement, it was stated that a new voyage named “Kars-Erzurum Touristic Express” was put into operation between Kars-Erzurum in order to meet the increasing touristic passenger demand during the semester break, and the following information was given about the voyage:
“Kars-Erzurum Touristic Express; It will start on January 21st and run every day until January 31st. It will only work on Saturdays and Sundays in February. Kars-Erzurum Touristic Express will depart from Kars at 07.20 and arrive in Erzurum at 11.10. The train will depart from Erzurum at 14.55 and arrive in Kars at 18.45. The train, which will consist of pullman type wagons, will stop in Sarıkamış on departure and return.
TICKETS CAN BE PURCHASED ON THE INTERNET AND TICKETS
In the statement underlining that the trains will have a capacity of 234 people, it was stated that tickets can be purchased from the internet, mobile applications and tolls. Noting that the new route will support the tourism of the region, the statement said, “We introduce the hidden beauties of our country to both our citizens and tourists. The developments in railway transportation also affected the travel preferences of our citizens. We recreated the spring mood on the railways. We know that railways are of strategic importance for Turkey. With this awareness, we are resurrecting the railways as if combining the pieces of the mosaic”.
