Minister Akar and Turkish Armed Forces Command Inspected the Anatolian Ship

Hulusi Akar, Minister of National Defense; together with Chief of General Staff General Yaşar Güler, Land Forces Commander General Musa Avsever, Naval Forces Commander Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu and Air Force Commander General Atilla Gülan visited the Anatolian ship.

Minister Akar and his accompanying TAF Command Level landed on the ship in the Marmara Sea by helicopter within the scope of sea acceptance tests. After landing on the ship, Minister Akar greeted the ceremonial squad and presented a ship's cap with the inscription "TCG Anadolu".

Minister Akar, who received a briefing on the ship from Rear Admiral İsmail Güldoğan, Chief of the Naval Staff, then climbed onto the bridge and made investigations.

After examining the ship at the Combat Operations Center, Minister Akar met with the crew and shipbuilding personnel in the section called the pool.

Emphasizing that Turkey has become a subject with the multidimensional relations established by our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the international arena, Minister Akar said; He stated that his area of ​​influence is three continents and his area of ​​interest is the whole world.

Stating that the Ministry of National Defense, whose duties and responsibilities increased in this process, carried out the most intense and most successful activities in the history of the Republic, Minister Akar said, “In this context, our heroic and self-sacrificing army said 'Border is honor!' Stating that Turkey has now reached the level of designing, constructing, manufacturing and exporting National Infantry Rifles and all light weapons, MLRAs, Storm howitzers, UAV/SİHA/TİHAs, ATAK helicopters, frigates, warships and intelligent precision ammunition and missiles. The world's first SİHA ship and Turkey's largest multi-purpose amphibious ship, Anatolia's first sheet metal cutting was made on April 30, 2016, with the participation of our President Erdoğan. After the completion of the port acceptance tests, which started on 1 July 2020, the ship's sea acceptance tests began on 20 June 2022. The Anadolu ship, whose first helicopter deployment was made on 17 November 2022, is planned to be delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces in the first months of this year.

The national and local war management system Advent is used on the ship, which is approximately three football fields long. Equipped with state-of-the-art radars and sensors, the ship is capable of transporting nearly 100 vehicles with tanks and armored vehicles on the vehicle deck, as well as landing vehicles and boats.
