“Men's Participation in the Struggle Against Gender Inequality Trainer Training Program”, organized for Adana Metropolitan Municipality employees in cooperation with Adana Metropolitan Municipality and UN Women, was held on 18-19 January 2023 in Adana.

Representing Adana Metropolitan Municipality and UN Women's Unit in the training of trainers organized for the purpose of raising the knowledge and awareness of Adana Metropolitan Municipality employees to ensure the participation of men in gender equality; Adana Metropolitan Municipality Head of Women and Family Services Department Ayten Dolançay and UN Women's Unit Project Coordinator Duygu Erseçen attended.
PRESENTATION AND GROUP WORK WAS DONE
During the 2-day training, UN Women's Advisor, Masculinity Studies Specialist Dr. Murat Göç Bilgin made a presentation on the Basic Concepts of Gender Equality, Historical and Theoretical Backgrounds of Working with Men/Discussing Masculinity, Men and Violence, Men and Sexual Harassment (Sexual Harassment, Sexual Violence, Men's Role in Preventing Sexual Harassment) and then group work was carried out. .
The first leg of the 8-module trainer training program was held online on December 21, 2022. In the training, in which a total of 5 municipal personnel, 15 men and 20 women, participated; Men's Participation in Gender Equality, Perception of Masculinity, Masculinity and Violence, Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment, Childhood, Early and Forced Marriage (CEZE), Men, Fathers and Care Services, Gender Equality in Sports and Masculinity were studied.
