“Eren Blockade Autumn-Winter-840 Martyr Gendarmerie Specialist Sergeant Mehmet Çelik Operation” was launched by the Ministry of Interior with the participation of 21 personnel.
According to the statement made by the Ministry, the operation "Eren Blockade Autumn-Winter-21 (Diyarbakır-Lice-Akçabudak) Martyr Gendarmerie Specialist Sergeant Mehmet Çelik" was launched in Diyarbakır in order to remove the PKK terrorist organization from the country's agenda and neutralize the terrorists who are considered to be sheltering in the region.
In the operation carried out under the coordination of Diyarbakır Gendarmerie Regional Command and under the direction and administration of Diyarbakır Provincial Gendarmerie Command; 840 personnel and 56 operational teams, consisting of Gendarmerie Special Operations (JÖH), Police Special Operations (PÖH), Gendarmerie Commando and Security Guard teams.
On the first day of the operation; Based on point intelligence, 5 shelters were identified during the land search and scanning activity carried out in the rural area of Diyarbakır-Lice district Akçabudak district. In the shelters; 1 IED device, 1 battery block, 4 tubes, 3 kilograms of cannabis powder, 145 items of vital materials were seized. The seized materials were destroyed and the shelters were rendered unusable.
In the statement, it was emphasized that the Eren Blockade Autumn-Winter Operations, which were carried out to completely eliminate terrorism in the country, continued successfully with the support of the people, faithfully and decisively.
