Underlining that investments in İzmir, the pearl of the Aegean, continue without slowing down, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure noted that 20 billion TL of investment has been made in İzmir in the last 112.9 years. In the statement, which is noted that the Ministry has signed many projects such as Izmir-Istanbul Highway Project, Çandarlı Highway, and İZBAN, the total amount of the investment made by our Ministry for the İZBAN line is approximately 2 billion 850 million dollars. When we look at the total investment amount, it will be seen that a rate of over 70 percent is made by our Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure made a written statement regarding the investments in İzmir. Emphasizing that investments continue in İzmir as well as in 81 provinces of Turkey, the statement underlined that 2002 billion 48 million liras have been invested in İzmir's transportation and communication infrastructure since 569. In the statement, it was stated that the investment cost of the projects currently in progress in İzmir reached 64 billion 340 million TL, and it was reported that a total of 20 billion 112 TL investments were made in İzmir in the last 909 years.
WE INCREASED PARTED PATH LENGTH 123 PERCENT
In the statement, which stated that projects that will add value to İzmir in every mode of transportation, from highway to railway, airline to maritime sector, were brought to the city, "We have increased the length of divided roads from 430 kilometers in İzmir to 123 kilometers by 959 percent. We also increased the BSK paved road length, which we took from 367 kilometers, to 972 kilometers in total.
The 3,5-kilometer-long Istanbul-Gebze-Orhangazi-Izmir Highway Project, which reduces the distance between Izmir and Istanbul to 426 hours and revitalizes the regional economy, has been implemented, and the Menemen-Aliağa-Aliağa highway with a total length of 56 kilometers, of which 40 kilometers is a highway and 96 kilometers is a connection road. It was stated that the Çandarlı Highway is among the first among the prestigious projects. In the statement, “Çevreyolu and Konak Tunnel also gave a breath of fresh air to İzmir traffic. By completing our projects, we ensured the safe and comfortable transportation of the people of Izmir within and between cities. Our investments, which befit İzmir in the Century of Turkey, continue. Among these projects are Torbalı-Ödemiş-Kiraz Road, Selçuk-Ortaklar-Aydın Road, İzmir-Turgutlu Junction-Kemalpaşa-Torbalı Road.
WE PROVIDED 73 METRO VEHICLES TO THE İZBAN PROJECT
In the statement, which also mentioned the importance of railway investments, it was stated that there is a railway network of 571 kilometers within the borders of İzmir province. It was stated in the statement that a budget of 2023 billion lira was allocated for the İzmir-Ankara high-speed train line project in 13, and it was emphasized that with the completion of the high-speed train project, the travel time between Ankara and İzmir would decrease to 3,5 hours.

It has been reported that the investment made by the Ministry of TCDD for the İZBAN line is approximately 2 billion 850 million dollars. The statement continued as follows:
“All components of the railway system, such as infrastructure, superstructure, electrification, and signaling, which were built along the 136-kilometer route, in a project carried out by TCDD, '70 percent of the total investment was made by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, TCDD only gave the train lines and rails inherited from the history of the Republic'. Statements like these are far from the truth and are intended to discredit this important investment. It is obvious that the statements are intended to mislead the public. When we look at the total investment amount of the İZBAN project, which we offer to the people of İzmir, it will be seen that a rate of over 70 percent was made by our Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.”
ADNAN MENDERES AIRPORT INTERNATIONAL BUILDING RENOVATED
