Busy Work for Mine Detection and Disposal in the Black Sea from the Naval Forces

Our Naval Forces Command works by taking every precaution against the mine threat that may occur in our seas with its means and capabilities. Mines are destroyed with great care after detection and identification.

Our Naval Forces have performed a total of 6 hours of cruise and 747 hours of flight with maritime patrol aircraft, Tuzla class patrol vessels and mine hunting vessels for the detection and destruction of mines drifting in the Black Sea.

A total of 26 mines detected at the entrance of the Bosphorus on March 28, off İğneada on March 6 and Kefken on April 3 were neutralized by SAS Teams.

Finally, on October 19, another mine detected off Kiyikoy/Kirklareli was destroyed by SAS Teams.
