Agricultural Production Grant Support for Idle Lands!

Supports to be provided for the purpose of enabling the use of agricultural lands and bringing the idle lands into production were determined.

With the decision, procedures and principles were determined to increase plant production by using appropriate agricultural production methods and to support investment projects for post-harvest product processing, with priority given to areas left empty, fallow and unsuitable for cultivated agriculture in order to activate the use of agricultural lands.

The regulation covers grant payments for investment projects to improve plant production and increase agricultural output, prepared by the provincial directorates of the Ministry and approved by the Ministry.

Accordingly, grant supports will be provided for the period of 1 January-31 December 2023.

To bring the lands left empty, idle or fallow to agricultural production by using appropriate rotation plan and planting methods, to develop the production of suitable varieties of cereals, legumes and oilseed crops, taking into account the climate change, Grants will be paid for projects that aim to increase production, reduce post-harvest losses and increase added value, to establish drying or processing facilities after primary production, to increase the yield obtained from a unit area by grafting plant species existing in their natural ecology, changing varieties and similar technical applications.

GRANTS CAN BE GIVEN UP TO 75 PERCENT OF THE PROJECT AMOUNT

The grant rates of the Ministry according to the investment subjects will be applied as a maximum of 75 percent of the total project cost for the specified support subjects. It will be possible to cooperate with other public institutions and organizations and producer organizations within the scope of the project.

Grant payments within the scope of the decision will be provided for real or legal persons.

Partnerships with public institutions and organizations will not be able to benefit from the supports.
