ABB's Compassion Houses Host Patients and Their Relatives

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) continues to host patients and their companions who come to the Capital for treatment at the Compassion Houses. Patients and their relatives who come to Ankara from other provinces for treatment and do not have a place to stay are hosted in the Compassion Houses of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality.

Social Services Department; Ahmetler, Etlik, Rüzgarlı and Oncology, while hosting their guests free of charge, also provides transportation, food, laundry, cultural events, guidance and counseling.

Opened its doors to 41 thousand patients and their relatives

Ahmetler, Etlik, Rüzgarlı and Oncology Compassion Houses, together with Ulus Compassion House, which is currently out of service due to being under renovation; Since 2020, it has opened its doors to approximately 41 thousand patients and their relatives.

Indicating that they host patients and their relatives from outside Ankara, Rüzgarlı Compassion House Unit Manager Gamze Kırmızı said, "Citizens can benefit from our services in this unit free of charge." said.

Red continued his explanations as follows: “From 5 to date, 2020 thousand 40 people have received service from our facilities serving at 500 points, and 7 thousand 500 citizens at the Windy Compassion House. Here, the accommodation opportunity is provided for the patients and their companions, whose accommodation is deemed appropriate. We have a laundry and ironing service. Guests are constantly monitored. Social and psychological support is provided for the problems they are experiencing. During the treatment of the guests, transportation to the state hospitals is provided by shuttle vehicles. We also serve breakfast and dinner to our guests every day.”
