The "Apiculture Map of Turkey" internet portal, which gathers the data and statistical information about beekeeping as well as the inventories that will reveal the potential of the sector, under a single roof of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, has been made available to citizens as well as individuals and organizations operating in the field.

Thanks to the map developed by the General Directorate of Information Technologies, carried out by the General Directorate of Livestock of our Ministry (HAYGEM), many data and statistical information about beekeeping were gathered in one place.

By adapting the Turkey Beekeeping Map, which is accessible to all internet users, to the "Agriculture in My Pocket" application in the future, it is aimed for citizens to use the site more easily and comfortably.

The map shows the number of producers and hives, honey production and honey yield per hive, the honey types produced throughout the country and the distribution of these honeys according to the provinces, the most produced honey types in the provinces , registered geographically marked honeys, breeding queen producing provinces and their capacities, breeder queens breed characteristics and registrations, bumblebee producing provinces and their capacities.

The process of integrating the "honey forests" into the map continues. Official data will be mapped when published, and this is scheduled to be updated annually. In addition, it is foreseen that in the future, files containing province/district-based flora information will be added to the map and that the opinions and suggestions of the users will be evaluated in map updates.
