Thus, the number of electric vehicles in Izmir Metropolitan Municipality increased to 124.

It added 50 more electric vehicles to its fleet. 35 of these vehicles will be used in municipal services. 15 of the vehicles will be made available to the people of Izmir through the MOOV Car Sharing Application. Thus, the total number of electric vehicles offered to the people of Izmir will be 28.
İZELMAN General Manager Burak Alp Ersen, who stated that they preferred to buy environmentally friendly vehicles to contribute to the fight against the climate crisis, said, “Our municipality's electric vehicle fleet within İZELMAN consists of 124 vehicles. 96 of them are used by the service units and companies of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. Burak Alp Ersen also reminded the electric vehicles offered to the people of Izmir, “This application is one of the first applications in the world where a municipality company includes its own electric vehicles in the private car sharing system. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality inspires Turkey with this aspect," he said.
Carbon emission value “0”
Vehicles with an 2 KW electric motor with a CO0 emission value of 80 can travel 1 kilometers with a 120-hour charge and 395 kilometers with a full charge. Vehicles save power in the city or in slow-moving traffic.
ESHOT General Directorate had established the first electric vehicle fleet in public transportation in Turkey with 20 electric buses that it incorporated.
