Presidential Classical Turkish Music Choir to Give its First Concert of the Year at AKM

The Presidency Classical Turkish Music Choir will perform the first concert of the year at Atatürk Cultural Center with a performance from the ancient maqams of Turkish music.

The first concert of 2023, which will be held at Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM), will be held on Sunday, January 22, at the III. Works from the 'Sûzidilârâ' maqam, the name given to the musical maqam that Selim created with divine love, will be performed. Mehmet Hulusi Yücebıyık will conduct the Presidential Classical Turkish Music Choir. The soloists of the concert, Filiz Oral and Ender Doğan, will perform with classical and later works, while the duo of Murat Bağdatlı (ud) and Hüseyin Özkılıç (ney) will perform outstanding examples of Turkish instrumental music.
