Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu announced that more than 1 million 194 thousand passengers travel on the Karaman-Istanbul, Karaman-Ankara YHT track in a year and said, “448 thousand 245 passengers preferred YHT between Konya and Karaman. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu made a statement about the Konya-Karaman YHT line. Stating that the YHT line was opened on January 8, 2022 with the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Karaismailoğlu emphasized that fast, reliable and comfortable transportation attracted great interest from the citizens.

Noting that a total of more than 472 million 532 thousand passengers, 721 thousand 782 on the Karaman-Istanbul-Karaman route and 1 thousand 194 on the Karaman-Ankara-Karaman route, prefer to travel by YHT, Karaismailoğlu said, “448 thousand 245 passengers between Konya and Karaman are YHT. preferred the. ANKARA-KARAMAN BETWEEN 2 HOURS AND 40 MINUTES

Noting that Karaman is the eighth province to be transported with YHT, Karaismailoğlu underlined that the average travel time between Konya and Karaman has decreased to 40 minutes, and the travel time between Ankara-Konya-Karaman has decreased to 2 hours and 40 minutes. Karaismailoğlu stated that the travel time between Istanbul and Karaman is 6 hours. Noting that there are 5 intermediate stations on the Ankara route, namely Eryaman, Polatlı, Selçuklu, Konya and Çumra, Karaismailoğlu noted that there are Bostancı, Pendik, Gebze, İzmit, Arifiye, Bilecik, Bozüyük, Eskişehir, Selçuklu, Konya and Çumra intermediate stations on the Istanbul line.

Karaismailoğlu said, "On the other hand, with the 102-kilometer Konya-Karaman high-speed train line, not only passenger transport, but also freight transport, speed and capacity have been increased," Karaismailoğlu said, adding that the capacity of 60 double trains has been increased, and that freight trains have also started to operate, and that the total amount of freight transported from the line in a year is 1 million 742. He underlined that it is a thousand net tons.

Within the framework of this vision, we will increase the number of provinces that meet high-speed trains to 52. We entered the railway-based investment process.
