Gözde Group Raised a Target in Health Tourism

Gözde Group Chairman of the Board Op. Dr. Kenan Kalı stated that they have made significant progress in health tourism in a short time and said that in 2022, they restored 10 thousand foreign patients to their health. In 2022, in the Private Health Hospital, Gözde Kuşadası and Gözde İzmir Hospital within the group, especially in England; He stated that they hosted patients from 30 different countries.

Pointing out that as Gözde Health Group, they reunited the Private Health Hospital, which is a symbol of health and a symbol of İzmir, with the city, Op. Dr. Kenan Kalı said, “This is the first private hospital in Izmir and the second in Turkey, where many people were born and which has served Izmir for three generations. We are proud to bring Private Health Hospital to İzmir. İzmir is very attached to its roots and its own values. Izmir is a city with the best health centers in the world. People come here to seek healing. We have taken over the health heritage of Private Health Hospital in the recent past and Bergama in the distant past. We want İzmir to continue this vision today, just as it has delivered health and healing to the world in the past.”

WE WILL BE THE CAPITAL OF HEALTH TOURISM

Noting that İzmir has become an important brand city with its potential in health tourism, Op. Dr. Kenan Kalı continued his words as follows: “Private Health Hospital has become the hospital where health tourism is most intense in İzmir in a short time. It brought the UK and Europe together with İzmir. As a whole team, we have made an incredible effort in this regard. We have the structure and variety of transactions to be among the top 20 centers in the world. In health tourism, we managed to bring patients in 2022 branches in 6. We perform obesity, branches of aesthetic surgery, dental treatments, rhinoplasty and neurosurgery. While continuing these in 2023, we will bring foreign patients related to neuronavigation procedures, uro-technological procedures and prostate diseases in neurosurgery. As the number of these patients increased, the number of flights between England and Izmir began to increase. The Governor's Office and the İzmir Culture and Tourism Directorate also offer significant support in this regard. İzmir cannot reach the level of tourism city that Antalya has reached in 40 years. But İzmir will soon become the capital of health tourism. If you take the right steps in health tourism, you can create a brand city. In my opinion, the most important theme of İzmir is health tourism. We see state and government officials on our side in this regard.”

PATIENTS ARE COMING FROM 30 COUNTRIES

Emphasizing that they provide an important flow of patients in health tourism to İzmir, Op. Dr. Kenan Kalı gave the following information: “Patients come to İzmir from 30 different countries such as England, Germany, Italy, northern countries, South Africa and Sri Lanka. We aim to bring patients from America and Canada in orthopedics, urology and neurosurgery in 2023. In the past, foreign patients used to come to Turkey because of the price advantage. Now they see quality and operational success. Our country has a very good technological infrastructure, good hospitals and experienced physicians. In our 3 hospitals in İzmir and Kuşadası, we, as a group, have healed more than 2022 thousand foreigners in 10. By the end of 2023, we aim to grow 3 - 3 and a half times in health tourism. We are very advanced in terms of health accessibility, technology and physician quality in Turkey. Turkey is always attractive compared to Europe in terms of price and quality. For this reason, it would be right for a physician trained in Turkey to stay in Turkey. We will grow much more as a country in health tourism. As long as this diversity of services and devoted health workers, we will rise to the position of a brand as a country.”

3 NEW HOSPITALS IN KUŞADASI AND IZMIR

Emphasizing that they will continue to invest in the field of health, Op. Dr. Kenan Kalı continued his words as follows: “Private Health is a hospital that appeals not only to Izmir but also to the whole of Turkey and Europe. People now prefer us for operations with a high degree of difficulty, as well as plastic surgeries. We are working to increase quality and patient satisfaction. We export services. I am proud that we can do this. We serve both employment and export. We earn foreign currency to our country. This is also a national duty. Health is something we take very seriously. The construction and health sectors support each other very much. As a group, we plan to open 3 more hospitals in total in Kuşadası and İzmir, with a focus on health tourism. I have always trusted our country, I believed in its youth, energy and potential. We will continue to invest in the future.”
