Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that they have reached the final stage in the construction of the Ereğli Semi-Olympic Swimming Pool, which is being built by the Metropolitan Municipality, and said, "We want our children and youth to be intertwined with sports with the swimming pool we will bring to our Ereğli District." he said.
The construction of the semi-olympic swimming pool that Konya Metropolitan Municipality will bring to Ereğli is about to be completed.
Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that they have implemented many important works from infrastructure to physical investments for the overall development of Konya together with its districts.
Pointing out that Konya has made a name for itself both in Turkey and in the world with the sports investments made in the city center and international sports organizations in recent years, Mayor Altay said, “We are working tirelessly to bring our sports investments to the districts in Konya, which is the World Sports Capital of 2023. We are nearing the end of our semi-olympic swimming pool construction in our Ereğli district. With the swimming pool we will bring to our district, we want our children and young people to be intertwined with sports. I am sure that tomorrow's champions will emerge among our athletes who benefit from these investments. I hope we will open our Eregli Semi-Olympic Swimming Pool in a very short time. Ereğli Semi-Olympic Swimming Pool, which has a construction area of approximately 3 thousand square meters, will cost 15 million liras.
