In the second and third volumes of the work, the lineage of the Osmanoğulları is based on the lineage of Ays, the son of the prophet Isaac, and it is stated that they are descended from Korkut Ata.

According to Ebu'l Gazi Bahadır Han's book named Şecere-i Terakime, which he wrote in 1659-1660, Korkut Ata was from the Kayı clan, lived during the Abbasid period and was a highly respected state counselor in the Oghuz province.
