Istanbul Modern's adult workshop and seminar program Atolye Modern continues its online seminars. Contemporary Art and a new program called NFT starts on 8 December
Conducted by contemporary artist and educator Bager Akbay, the seminar focuses on artists working with current technologies, how the processes of creating art collections have changed, and the practices of creating digital art collections.
Focusing on the concepts of "new media", "digital art" and "NFT", the seminar deals with the effects of today's technologies on artistic production, the changing role of the artist, and the traditions and habits in experiencing art.
The six-week program focuses on recognizing technology-based contemporary art productions and interpreting the relationship between NFT and art. It examines traditional prejudices about the experience of art and new art productions that remove these prejudices through contemporary examples.
