Maintenance of Keçiören Cable Car Completed First Tour President Altınok Took

Keçiören Municipality has completed its periodical heavy maintenance work on the cable car line serving on the Subayevleri and Tepebaşı route in the district. Keçiören Mayor Turgut Altınok; AK Party Ankara Provincial Women's Branch President Hatice Çakmak, AK Party Keçiören District Chairperson Zafer Çoktan, AK Party Keçiören District Women's Branch Chairperson Saliha Küçüker.

President Turgut Altınok shared the following information, saying that the periodical heavy maintenance works on the ropeway system, each of which has 8 cabins and serves with a total of 16 cabins, have been successfully completed:

“Since short and long-term maintenance of our cable car is obligatory, we took a break from our service for a while. We offer safer travel opportunities with maintenance and repair works. Our cable car, which has been in service since 2008, was known as the longest line in Europe and Turkey when it was first opened. The cable car, which has a line length of 1653 meters and provides both transportation and touristic sightseeing services between Subayevleri and Tepebaşı neighborhoods, is currently in the top three among the longest urban cable car lines. The cable car, whose highest point is 85 meters, welcomes an average of one thousand passengers per day. It offers a 8-minute cruise with a total of 16 cabins, each of which can seat 20 people.”
