The “İzmir Agriculture” mobile application, implemented by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, was selected as the best project of 2022 in the category of local governments in the Stars of Informatics competition organized by the Turkish Informatics Association.

Apart from the prominent modules of the project such as "Aquaculture Recommendations" and "Early Warning System", the "Management Panel", where the agricultural production of İzmir was monitored and coordinated, was eye-catching.

Thanks to the Izmir Agriculture mobile application, the status of the field can be monitored remotely, and decisions on spraying, fertilizing, irrigation and aquaculture can be taken more accurately. The application warns manufacturers against sudden weather events as a result of the climate crisis. In addition, manufacturers can exhibit their products and bring them together with buyers with the Open Market Module.

Turkish Informatics Association (TBD) Istanbul Branch Informatics Stars 2022 Competition was organized with the theme of “Domestic and National/Original Project Competition”. The competition, attended by the private sector, companies with R&D centers, universities, technopark and technopolis companies, non-governmental organizations and local governments, was held for the 10th time this year.
