Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyerparticipated in the exhibition “West to East Asia Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim's Travel Photographs” opened at the Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center in cooperation with the Finnish Embassy. The exhibition will remain open until December 30.
1867 photographs taken by Finnish military leader and statesman Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim (1951-1906) during his duty in 1908-48 along the Silk Road stretching from Central Asia to China, met with art lovers in Izmir. Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyer, participated in the “West to East Asia Travel Photographs” exhibition by CG Mannerheim, opened in cooperation with the Finnish Embassy. Minister Tunç Soyerİzmir Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Ertuğrul Tugay, Finland Ankara Ambassador Ari Maki, İzmir Finland Honorary Consul Haluk Özyavuz, curator Peter Sandberg, Folkart Chairman Mesut Sancak, journalist Deniz Sipahi were also accompanied.
