CK Energy Akdeniz Elektrik experts have provided energy literacy trainings to nearly 5 students in 500 schools so far.
The Energy Literacy Project, implemented by CK Energy since 2018 with the aim of efficient use of scarce resources and creating savings habits, met with children in the 2022-2023 Academic Year. Following the protocol signed a month ago between Antalya Provincial Directorate of National Education and CK Energy Akdeniz Elektrik under the auspices of the Governorship of Antalya, the trainings started in the pilot schools determined. CK Energy Akdeniz Elektrik experts have completed their energy literacy training in 5 schools and reached 500 children so far. Within the scope of the project, it is aimed to reach 5 thousand students by mid-June.

CK Energy Akdeniz Elektrik provided primary school 50rd and 2022th grade, secondary school 2023th and 3th grade students in a total of 4 schools determined in Antalya within the scope of the “Energy Literacy Project” in the 5-6 academic year on “what electricity is and how it is produced. , safe electricity use, energy efficiency, energy saving methods at home and at school” are explained. While the energy ambassador certificate is given to the students who receive training, the first step is taken for social awareness on green energy. In addition, in order to measure the results of the Energy Literacy trainings, the electricity bills of the 6-month periods covering the pre- and post-training periods are monitored and the 3 schools that reduce their consumption the most are rewarded.

Stating that CK Energy is trying to reach every segment of the society with the Energy Literacy Project, CK Energy Akdeniz Elektrik General Manager Fahrettin Tunç said, “The 'transparent invoice', which allows consumers to see the items on their electricity bills one by one, is one of the most used electrical household appliances. It has many pillars such as a 'consumption calculation button' that shows how much electricity it consumes, a 'consumer booklet' and 'efficiency measures' to support conscious electricity use. One of them is the trainings held in primary and secondary schools for our children, who are our future. We renewed this project, which we started in our region in 2018, with the protocol we signed recently. Within the scope of the protocol we signed, we will provide education in 2019 schools in Antalya, and we will convey the stages our young people go through from the generation of electricity to reaching the consumer, and the importance of efficient use of energy. Our friends started their first training. Our goal is to reach 50 thousand students and 5 thousand families in total and to provide support for the correct and efficient use of energy resources”.
